Hey Guardians! Just dropped in from a long session, and I gotta say, the latest Destiny 2 update 7.3.4.2 is giving me life. With The Final Shape just around the corner (still feels surreal this is the last season before the big finale!), Bungie is keeping the content flowing, and this patch has some seriously sweet adjustments. Let's dive into the deets, shall we?
First things first, the star of the show for many: Chivalric Fire. OMG, the legendary ritual sword is back in the spotlight! Bungie has finally let us reacquire it from Collections. Finally, right? But here's the tea ☕: you might want to pump the brakes on pulling it out just yet. The fully masterworked version, the one with those sweet, sweet improved stats, is coming in the next update, 7.3.5. So, if you're planning to take this beauty into Crucible or any playlist activity, maybe wait a tiny bit longer for the premium version. Patience is a virtue, my friends!

Now, for all my fellow Stormcaller Warlock mains, this one's for you. Remember that super annoying bug with the Ball Lightning melee? You'd slide, cancel, try to unleash the arc fury... and nothing. Nada. Zip. Leaving you totally exposed in the Crucible? That was a major oof moment. Well, rejoice! Update 7.3.4.2 has squashed that bug into oblivion. Your Ball Lightning should now spawn correctly every time you activate it after a slide cancel. No more embarrassing whiffs in front of the enemy team. It's time to get back to zapping everything in sight, as the Traveler intended.
Moving on to Riven's Wishes! Bungie listened to player feedback (yay!) and has adjusted the requirements for the activity. They haven't spilled all the beans on exactly what changed—keeping it mysterious, I see—but any tweak that makes chasing those wishes smoother is a win in my book. Also fixed: Exotic armor pieces from Riven's Wishes rewards were showing their minimum base stats in Collections, which was kinda misleading. Now, you should see the proper stats. Knowledge is power, Guardians!

Last but not least, a fix for the Starcrossed Exotic mission. There was a bug preventing the Supernova Sprint Triumph from unlocking even if you completed the mission in under 20 minutes. Talk about frustrating! If you were one of the speedy runners who got robbed, this update should retroactively grant you that sweet, sweet Triumph. Go check your Triumphs page—your well-earned bragging rights are now waiting for you.
Quick Recap of the Patch Notes:
-
Chivalric Fire: Can be reacquired from Collections. Pro-tip: Wait for update 7.3.5 for the masterworked version with better stats!
-
Stormcaller Warlock: Fixed the Ball Lightning melee bug after slide cancel. Zap away!
-
Riven's Wishes: Requirements adjusted based on feedback. Exotic reward stats display fixed in Collections.
-
Starcrossed Mission: Supernova Sprint Triumph should now unlock correctly for sub-20-minute runs.
Honestly, this update feels like Bungie is doing some much-needed housekeeping before we head into the grand finale. It's all about smoothing out those rough edges and making sure our last adventures in the Season of the Wish are as epic as possible. The Mass Effect collab goodies are still fresh, and now with these fixes, the gameplay feels just a bit more crisp.
What are your thoughts on the update? Are you team 'Wait for 7.3.5 for the sword' or team 'Gimme that Chivalric Fire NOW'? And my fellow Warlocks, how does it feel to have your lightning back on demand? Let me know in the comments! Catch you starside, Guardians. Eyes up. ✨
